I spent over a decade working in the field of policy and research, politics and communications. At the time, it was my dream to be able to contribute to conversations that shaped society and how we lived. Through that experience I began to realize the toll the pressure of that work began to take on me. I began to feel like I never had enough time during my day, that my waking hours were solely dedicated on news and solving deep-seated problems and that joy and connection with the people that mattered most was severely lacking in my life. That’s when I decided to take a pivot. I left my field in search of something more. I doubled-down on my personal fitness goals and became certified to teach Barre in the process. I deepened my connections with family and friends and made a career pivot. That pivot also led me to creating this site, Curated By Britt. Curated By Britt is a wellness community designed for modern-day women to aid in their own wellness journey. As women, we are often juggling home life, work, relationships, kids and friendships all at once. What can we do to balance it all, while taking care of ourselves mentally, emotionally and physically? What practices should be built into our days to ensure that we continuously take care of ourselves to create moments of on-going joy and connection and be better able to navigate life’s challenges? My hope is that this website can be a key step in providing you those answers and supporting your own wellness journey. This website is a labour of love and a passion project turned to light.
